Company Code of Ethics
Code of Ethics is a set of values that regulate the relations of the company with its employees and society and create the culture of behavior within the company in order to increase the prestige and service quality of our company. The Code of Ethics, which has been approved by our Management, is a set of rules that all our employees, especially our company managers, must comply with. All employees first accept the importance of the following ethical rules and comply with these rules.
A. Honesty and Transparency
Integrity and honesty are our primary values in all our business processes and relationships. The principle of honesty is essential in all external and internal relations and processes. Customers should have a clear understanding of their rights and obligations, benefits and risks regarding the products and services offered to them.
B. Confidentiality
The employee has to secure the information and secrets he has learned about his job and institution, whether it is related to his job or not. It cannot give or disclose the secrets, information or documents related to them to unauthorized persons or authorities. This obligation continues after the termination of the relationship with the institution.
C. Conflict of Interest
We observe and prevent situations where our individual interests may conflict with the interests of BMT or persons and institutions associated with BMT. It is one of the most important responsibilities of all employees not to use the company's resources, name, identity and power for personal benefit, and to avoid situations that will adversely affect the name and image of the institution.
D. Our Responsibilities
In addition to our legal responsibilities we take care of our responsibilities listed below towards our customers, colleagues, shareholders, suppliers and business partners, competitors and society:
• Responsibility for Compliance with Laws and Regulations
The company acts in accordance with the laws and regulations of the countries in which it operates, both at home and abroad, in all its activities. Information, documents and records related to these activities are kept and maintained regularly and completely. Employees are not allowed to do unlawful work.
• Duty of Care
The employee is obliged to diligently fulfill the work undertaken with the employment contract, to acquire/develop the competencies required by the job, and to make an attempt to obtain the necessary knowledge. The employee is responsible for the timely completion of the works according to the requirements and the best fulfillment of the instructions given by the senior manager.
• Responsibility Towards the Environment and Society
• While carrying out its activities, the company acts with social responsibility and environmental awareness and aims to apply high standards in environmental awareness. Violations of environmental rules that may harm the health and rights of employees, customers and residents of the region where they operate are avoided.
• Responsibility Towards Employees
A fair, healthy and safe working environment is provided. Employees are offered equal opportunities in both recruitment and career development without discrimination.
• Responsibility to Comply with Workplace Principles and Rules
The employee is obliged to comply with the rules it has set regarding its management, compliance, discipline, occupational health and safety, and the instructions, regulations and procedures published in relation to them.
• Responsibility for Care in Behavior and Relationships
The employee is obliged to work in harmony with his colleagues and managers in the workplace, to establish good and humane relations with private or public persons and organizations that have a relationship with the workplace, and to perform his job honestly and quickly.
• Responsibility to customers
By developing consistent relationships by producing quality products and services, the continuity of the work is ensured with a long-term trust environment. It is aimed to be the company preferred by customers by increasing customer satisfaction in sales and after-sales.
• Responsibility to Competitors
The company is meticulous about the development of the sectors in which it operates, the observance of common interests with all companies operating in the sector, and the continuation of the continuity of trust in the sector. It avoids unfair competition against competitors and acts within the framework of ethical rules by considering fair competition conditions.
E. Ensuring Occupational Safety and Protection of the Environment
BMT aims to leave a healthy, clean, livable and sustainable world to future generations. For this purpose, high standard practices are used in our environmental protection activities within the framework of the relevant legal regulations and regulations. Violations of environmental rules that may harm the health of employees, customers and residents of the region where we operate are avoided. While making business decisions, it reports the damage to the environment, acts in a way that minimizes the negative effects and preventive measures are taken. All employees have an obligation to follow the applicable law and relevant legislation.
F. Open Door Policy
At BMT, we solve many issues before they become problems. The "Open Door" policy encourages BMT staff to express their own ideas and opinions, to express their concerns and complaints, and to ask questions. All managers support this policy by "keeping their doors open" to their subordinates and other staff who want to reach them.
